So I am back in class - final seminar - poet or prose - choose.
Tough one for me as I am equal parts each and definitive is not my strong suit.
For now, they have poetry. But this work is anything but definitive.
Just as I begin to wonder, reinforcements show up. A writer that I once aided with a novel wrote that he was seeking a proofreader for some academic work. Being under the weight of work and school, I said I was not able but that I would put the word out to the other students, many of them professional editors. He wrote back:
Your skills are for blossoming, not weeding.
I think there is a lot of truth to that, however, because I fail to weed the blossoms sometimes fail from neglect. Blossoming is grand but temporary; maybe a maintenance program is in order.
