Ruler of my Heart

Plenipotentiary ruler of my
heart, seeking the benison
of the waxing moon,
the salubrious climate
of understanding.

Inconstant moon
camouflaged in the
afternoon sky
too late rising to
grace the night.

Fear is not the ambassador
of my heart.
Watchful aorta skittering
the hairpin turn,
leaning toward the fall,
spin of earth, fearless;

trusting the moon,
plenipotentiary ruler of my
heart.

First draft writing. I like the sound of the words "plenipotentiary" and "salubrious". But this piece is not yet finished.

Had to switch out the video - think this one is a better fit anyway - but truly the words can stand on their own.
